Why I Want For School Assignments - 1528 Words

I wouldn t even know where to begin with all the things I ve done in my life that have involved literacy. Whether it d be speaking, reading, or writing; I can truly say that all three of these areas have expanded and developed over the years. However, I never had to do any of this alone. There was always inspiration for the times I was stuck on a blank page. There were always teachers, friends, and peers who were always there to guide me in the right direction for school assignments. I feel as if even my bed was an aid in helping me relax myself in order to look deep within to find the creative ideas. Throughout it all, I can only say I m glad to be where I am today. I can vaguely remember watching the little kids’ shows from my youth. I recall that one of these shows was Blue s Clues. The simple, yet useful words that would be used in everyday life that appeared on the television screen would be the first words I ever read. Watching other children’s programs, such as SpongeBob Squarepants or even Rugrats, really impacted how much of the English language I absorbed as a little kid. And since these shows didn t have any big words, it was easy for little children like me to understand what was happening in the show and enjoy it. Watching kids shows back then really set up a foundation in which I learned to pick up on other people s words and phrases growing up. How I only wish I would ve enjoyed the less stressful times of my toddler years.
